There’s been a lot of talk on the Internet about “Article Marketing” so I just thought I would put my two (2¢) cents worth in about it.
First let’s talk about what “Article Marketing” is NOT…
It is not an advertising medium nor is it a place for ”SPAM”, as some people seem to think it is.
“SPAMMERS” go to article directory sites with the idea that the operator is an idiot or something and they register an account and start submitting articles, as they call them, with absolutely no content value at all thinking all the time that the editor will let them be admitted to the directory.
Most of the article directory owners I know read each and every article submitted to their directory except when they find an author who floods them with these crap articles. What they do then is just delete not only that article but ALL of the other articles that author submitted to the directory. Then most search for the authors account and ban them from the directory… At least that’s what I do with them when they show up at my article directory over at “Articles in Demand“. I see no value in these kinds of people and I don’t want them at my site for ANY reason.
But then I digress as I am not writing this post to rant. LOL
If you want to write articles then all you have to do is write like your talking to someone who, by the way, is interested in what you have to say. Keep this in mind when you write and you can’t miss.
Article Marketing is not a place where you tell the reader(s) about yourself or your products. This is advertising. Go join a dating site or something if you want to tell someone about yourself. The potential customers you are writing to do not care the least about your personal biography or what you are selling.
They are reading your article because they want to know about your subject. If you write your article correctly they will be able to see that you know what you are writing about and, perhaps, then they will follow your links in your “About The Author” box and once they do that you can sell to them to your heart’s content. If you want to tell them about yourself and/or your skills then your web site is the place to that at and not in your article over at the article directory site.
Your readers are not reading your article because they are wanting to buy anything from you, either. If they were wanting to buy something they would be at a store looking around and not at an Article Directory.
“Articles in Demand” does not sell anything at our site… We only accept and serve up articles.
Do not place links within the body of your article, either, unless it points to a site that will enhance or help to make the point you are making in your article. That’s what the “About The Author” box is for.
This is where the value of article marketing comes in.
ALWAYS! ALWAYS!! ALWAYS!!! include your links and info in the “About The Author” box. I’ve had some new authors who forget to do this, or they don’t know to do it one, and I tend to decline their articles when they do this.
Some article directory owners will allow you to include affiliate links in your article(s) but some, like me at “Articles in Demand“, do not allow this, so make sure you read their “Submission Guidelines” before you do it or you might get your article(s) rejected.
I will be writing more about this subject as time goes on so be sure you come back here regularly so you don’t miss them.
In the mean time I invite you to come on over to my article directory at “Articles in Demand” and register, then start submitting your articles so I can be impressed with you.
Seeing as Sabbath is drawing near I shall bid you a Shabbat Shalom (Sabbath Peace).
Shabbat Shalom,
Frank
